Abstract
A high level of reliability of supply is desired by every consumer of electric energy. This issue is especially important in electrical installations of data centers, medical locations, or the chemical industry. However, modern current-using equipment is characterized by transient or steady-state leakage current, which in some cases may have a significant peak value. High-value peak current, even in the form of very short impulses, may lead to unwanted tripping of residual current devices, and, hence, a break in the supply of power to consumers.
