Chapter 2. Why Mobile First

You may have heard designers throwing around the phrase “mobile first.” A developer might have said to you that implementation would have been ten times easier if only it had been mobile first. Or perhaps you have read Luke Wroblewski’s 2009 blog post about mobile becoming the new medium. No matter where you have heard the phrase, starting mobile first is a sure-fire way to make sure that your design works for a majority of the people and that your most important details are front and center.
