Employees need to know that their hard work and efforts are appreciated. The most common complaint of employees at all levels is that they are not appreciated. Showing appreciation is at the top of any list of factors influencing an employee’s decision to stay with an organization or leave.

Employee appreciation can be expressed in any number of ways. Promotions, raises, transfers, special assignments, and the like are perhaps the most visible and tangible forms of employee appreciation.
