We can’t know exactly what will come next for ITAM, but part of Pragmatic ITAM is looking toward new technologies and anticipating how the future will shape up for ITAM and the departments that rely on it.
We all know that the way things work today—scanning tools, license agreements, invasive audits—is not always going to be the way things work. Even now, we can look back just a handful of years and see how much has changed, with the Internet of Things (IoT) and external cloud services adding layers of complexity that we may not have expected and better automated processes working to better handle that complexity.
