FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW, business schools have been quietly rethinking their curricula and course content. The global economic crisis has raised further questions about the changes needed, while sharpening the rhetoric and publicizing deeply felt concerns. The headlines have been stark. “Business Schools Face Test of Faith,” one article proclaims.1 Another asks, “Is It Time to Retrain B-Schools?”2 To at least some observers, the deepening economic crisis and the growing need to reform MBA education have become two sides of the same coin.
