APPENDIX BPlatforms That Measure Influence

There are a number of websites and platforms that attempt to measure online personal influence, and the list is growing every day. To help you get a grasp on the various tools available, I’ve pulled together a list of the most popular sites that measure influence, with a brief overview of each one:

BackTweets. BackTweets is primarily an analytics tool, but it also includes a proprietary scoring algorithm in its dashboard that awards influence scores between 1 and 100. It shows the sites a user shares the most, along with the people the user influences and who the user is influenced by. There is limited functionality to the free version, but there is also a subscription option:
