Measuring Reaction and Perceived Value

The next four chapters present ways to measure results data when evaluating meetings and events. This chapter focuses on measuring reaction and perceived value. Collecting this level of data at the end of the meeting is the first operational phase of the ROI Methodology. Participant feedback may represent powerful data to use when making adjustments and measuring success. Although several methods may be used to capture reaction and perceived value data—at the beginning and during the meeting—this chapter outlines the most common approaches for data collection and explores ways to use the information for maximum value.
