10.6. ISO (International Organization for Standardization)

ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 146 countries, on the basis of 1 member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system. ISO is a nongovernmental organization.

ISO has the following TCs (Technical Committees) and JTCs (Joint Technical Councils) that are involved in formulating RFID-related standards:

  • ISO JTC1 SC31

  • ISO JTC1 SC17

  • ISO TC 104 / SC 4

  • ISO TC 23 / SC 19

  • ISO TC 204

  • ISO TC 122
