What has to be administered?
This book does not seek to be prescriptive and provide one-size-fits-all solutions for readers. Rather, we try to highlight common themes across the task of contract development. Any contract is likely to have a cradle-to-grave lifecycle, and this is the basic mindset we encourage businesses to apply. At all stages it is important that businesses have a clear sense of precisely what stage their contract (or proposed contract) has now reached, and what the next steps or tasks should be. Another way of considering the lifecycle is suggested in Figure 24, as a useful ‘shorthand’ to understanding contracts.
