INTRODUCTION

Everyone has their own definition of what they mean by leadership. I will not try to define the term here, but any organisation can learn about leadership by observing what a highly successful institution has been doing for 100 years. The RAF was born in the midst of a desperately fought, blood-soaked war that shocked the world: a major crisis.
