6.6 Final Thoughts

In this section, I summarized the snapshot comparison feature which can accelerate clinical reviews from one snapshot to the next. This feature is also useful for biostatisticians as they are preparing to lock the study database. Too frequently in every database lock, outstanding queries occur that must be tracked in the DBMS and confirmed within the study database. The snapshot comparison feature makes it straightforward for the study statistician to substantiate that the necessary changes have been implemented correctly, while at the same time provides reassurance that no other unexpected changes have occurred to the database.
