RMAN in Exadata
RMAN is the preferred option to back up a database on Exadata. In this chapter you will learn a few nuances of RMAN when used in the Exadata environment. When we wrote this book, Exadata was still on Oracle Database 11g Release 2; so none of the Oracle Database 12c specific features described elsewhere in this book applied to Exadata.
