Chapter 12. Axiomatic Design
Product development is a set of activities and decisions by which teams create new or improved solutions to problems, defined by requirements, while complying with relevant constraints. Those solutions are embodied in the controllable parameters in the product designs and in the production processes for replicating and maintaining those parameters. However, the resulting designs can become complex systems of interrelated attributes often determined by ad hoc processes.
