Kahneman, Daniel 1934– (B3)
Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, and educated at the Hebrew University and the University of California at Berkeley. A professor at the University of British Columbia 1978– 86, Berkeley 1986–93 and Princeton from 1993. A psychologist who began his career teaching applied psychology before undertaking studies of human rationality and decision making which noted editing of similar outcomes to increase probabilities. Awarded the NOBEL PRIZE FOR ECONOMICS with Vernon SMITH in 2002 for his examination of decision making under uncertainty.
