RELATIONSHIPS AND PLANTS both need care and watering. The quality of your relationships with employees, customers, and vendors has a direct bearing on the vitality and profitability of your enterprise.

If you are a “people person,” relationships will come easily. However, if you aren’t, there’s still hope for you because relationship-building skills can be learned. Your ability to deal well with people will grow as you become successful. Let it come naturally. Trying to be charming or outgoing will come off as inauthentic and will retard rather than accelerate the growth of a relationship.
