10 SURVIVING THE HUNT

“HE WORKED HIMSELF to death” is not a figurative expression. It really does happen. In fact it happens more than you might imagine. The death certificates invariably say the victim died of “natural causes,” which is usually wrong, since there is absolutely nothing natural about working yourself to death.

Business can be full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands, which all cause stress. There is a direct link between stress and a laundry list of diseases all of which can be fatal. Chronic stress can and does actually kill people.

This final chapter of survival advice may seem more fitting for a self-help book. What does this advice have to do with business? Nothing and everything.
