It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Managing Exadata
Exadata Database Machine is similar to other hardware platforms—it is built on x86-based architecture with an Intel chipset, and it runs Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM). It’s a bit different from others, however, because it introduces Exadata Storage Server and Exadata storage software, which is specific to Exadata systems. An Exadata Machine includes a predefined configuration that is designed, engineered, and certified to run without making any deviations from the standard configuration.
