One of the keys to a successful meeting is ensuring everyone can be seen and heard. This is usually a no-brainer for face-to-face meetings where people are showing up in the same physical location. So long as the seating arrangements allow for clear lines of sight and no one mumbles too much, pretty much everyone in the meeting has the potential to be seen and heard.

Not so for a virtual or hybrid meeting. When people attend a meeting remotely, they may have the option to be seen and heard using the tools of the virtual meeting platform, but often they may choose only to be heard, opting out of turning on their video.
