Chapter 2. Configuration and Setup: Organization Setup

The first knowledge area found in the Salesforce Certified Administrator Exam Guide is Configuration and Setup. This knowledge area combines three core functional areas of focus, one building upon the next.

These three functional areas are:

• Organization Setup

• User Setup

• Security and Access

Each of these three core functional areas were previously individual knowledge areas in the Administrator Certification exam. Salesforce updated the exam structure to combine these three functional areas into a single knowledge area today called Configuration and Setup.

Since each of these three functional areas are so crucial, large in size, and important to understand in their proper sequence, I have elected to devote a chapter to each.
