So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Hands-on exercise for adding a filter to a dashboard
Let's use the Account Dashboard created in Chapter 9, Building Dashboards in Lightning Experience for this exercise; we will add a filter based on Industry (a field in Account) with the option equal to:
- Apparel or Education
- Energy
- Not blank
This allows users to analyze the numbers of accounts related to the Account Industry:
- Open and edit the Account Dashboard dashboard. If you come from the Dashboards tab, you can click on the Edit link directly; it is located under the arrow action menu, as shown in the following screenshot:
