It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Beginning Your Session
Before you can start interacting with the UNIX command shell of your choice, you'll need to learn how to log in to your account. The good news is that it's easy! Let's have a look.
Task 2.1: Logging In and Out of the System
 | Because UNIX is a multiuser system, you need to start by finding a terminal, a computer, or some other way to access the system. I use a Macintosh and a modem to dial up various systems by telephone.
