UNIX is a great server operating system (okay, I'm a bit biased here!), but it's not a very good desktop operating system. It certainly doesn't make sense for a laptop or palm-based device (in my opinion). Instead, if you're like the vast majority of us computer users, you've opted to use Windows or a Macintosh system.
