Searching Verity Collections

Building search interfaces for Verity collections is surprisingly simple. Because the engine itself handles the tough stuff, all you need to do is supply it with a search term and create a page to display the results.

Note

ColdFusion Studio users can take advantage of the Verity Wizard, a tool for automatically generating search forms and displaying results. Even if you do choose to create your pages in the wizard, read through this section to see what's happening behind the scenes.

The Search Form

To illustrate the incredible powers of Verity, I've designed a bare-bones search form, as illustrated in Figure 17.7.
