Exploring Built-In Objects

Now that you have seen how Active Server Page script blocks can be added to a Web page, you will learn how to use the objects that are automatically available to you in an ASP. Built-in objects are objects that are automatically available to you in your ASP. You use these just as you would any other COM component, but you don't have to declare or instantiate them. There are five built-in objects available to you in ASP scripts, which are described in Table 18.1.
