Virtual Reality Modeling Language

Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) is a markup language that's used to model imaginary worlds. These worlds can be anything from approximations of the real world for training simulations to fantasy worlds for games. One of the elements needed to create an imaginary world is the data that defines that world. The Web is a natural medium for virtual worlds, so XML is a natural for describing them.
