Q&A

Q1: I would like to create dynamic graphics using XSLT and other open-standards technologies. Are there resources that can explain this specific method?
A1: There are a number of XSLT-generated SVG examples available online. Visit this book's companion Web site at www.svgnow.com to find links to these and other resources.
Q2:If JavaScript can create dynamic graphics for free, why would I use any other technology?
A2: JavaScript was able to handle one type of dynamic content creation. Other types of graphics may rely on content stored in a database instead of user-submitted values. In such cases, JavaScript may not be the most efficient or versatile technology to pass content into an SVG document.
