Pasting Text from a File
Often, you need to put text that already exists as a word processor document into a Web page. You can easily copy text from another application and paste it in Dreamweaver.
To copy and paste text from a word processor or other program
1. | Open a document. |
2. | Select at least a couple of paragraphs so you can check for format retention in Dreamweaver. |
3. | Copy the text to the Clipboard (the keyboard command is usually Ctrl+C). |
4. | Go to Dreamweaver and place the insertion point where you want to paste the text. |
5. | Select the Paste command from the Edit menu. The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+V in Windows or Command+V on a Mac. |
