Adding Flash Files
Macromedia Flash and Director have arguably become the standards for Web animation. Director, originally created for CD-ROM–based interactive programs, has a streamed Web player called Shockwave. Flash is a more recent arrival, becoming extremely popular for creating small, interactive, Web-based animation. The interactive functionality of Flash is limited when compared with Director, but Flash is popular because of its vector-based graphics—a graphical format that is small and scalable.
