Now that I’ve surveyed the landscape of Web server hardware and software, I’m going to walk you through the steps for setting up an environment where you can test your CGI scripts on a standard desktop computer running Windows. After you’ve followed these steps, you should be able to test almost all the scripts printed in this book on your local desktop computer.
