Chapter 13. Working with Flash MX
Because of the advantages of Flash animation over GIF animation, more Web sites than ever are replacing regular GIF animation graphics with Flash animations in the Shockwave Flash, or SWF, format. Flash has many features that make it easier to create smaller files for animations. Fireworks can also be used to accomplish bitmap editing and optimization for graphics in Flash.
Fireworks can be used to create Flash SWF animations, or you can import Fireworks source PNGs with native features, including layers and frames, directly into Flash.
