Chapter 16. Removing and Replacing Objects

It’s easy enough to use the Clone Stamp to hide small objects in a picture, but what happens when the object is a large one? You can’t use the same tools and techniques on something big. Fortunately, there are other ways to get rid of unwanted parts of the picture and replace them with something else, even when they’re right in the middle of it.

In this hour you will

  • Copy existing sections of a photo using drag-and-drop copying

  • Remove people or objects you don’t want to see

  • Make the subjects of your photos kiss Tom Cruise, snuggle with Harrison Ford, and dance with Fred Astaire

  • Cover large holes, tears, or other missing areas
