Chapter 25. Enhancing Your Photos with Filters

I'm not sure whether Adobe actually invented the concept of filters, or just took the ball and ran with it. (A filter, by the way, is a series of commands that, when applied to a layer or selection, change its appearance in some manner.) It really doesn't matter. Filters are my favorite Photoshop/Elements tools. Elements has all the Photoshop filters on board, and you can also load third-party filter sets to do everything from framing your pictures in your choice of materials to changing the weather in the scene to creating strange abstractions based on fractal geometry.
