Examining the Source Code Portion of an ASP.NET Web Page

Now that we've examined the HTML portion of an ASP.NET Web page, let's turn our attention to the source code portion. As we saw in Figure 2.1, the Web Matrix Project contains four tabs when in Design Mode. In the last section we examined the Design and HTML tabs; here we will look at the two remaining tabs, Code and All.

If you have the Web Matrix Project set in Preview Mode, you will see only two tabs: Source and Preview. Please take a moment to change the Web Matrix Project back to Design Mode.
