Today you learn how to perform an interactive installation of a DB2 client on a Windows system. DB2 clients can be installed on any of the following Windows operating systems:
Windows Me
Windows NT version 4 with Service Pack 6a or later
Windows 2000
Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit editions)
Windows Server 2003 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Instructions for installing a DB2 client are identical for all these operating systems. DB2 clients are also available for AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, and Linux. This book covers how to install on Windows platforms.
