Learning and Customizing the Edit Entry Screen

Most of the work you do in Movable Type will be in the Edit Entry screen. As a result, it makes sense to ensure that this screen is configured and optimized for your needs.

Fortunately, Movable Type provides you with three options for viewing this screen:

  • Basic view. The Basic view is a pared-down version of the screen, with only entry-specific options available. This view is excellent for power users, as you can get right in, write your entry, and have the basic tools at your disposal.

  • Advanced view. The Advanced view offers a range of entry options. This view is helpful when you want better control over how you edit your entries than is available with the Basic view.
