Sending a TrackBack Ping
Having covered the basic theoretical aspects of TrackBack, let's move on to the practical. We'll start by seeing how to use Movable Type to send a TrackBack ping for an entry on your site to another TrackBack-enabled Web site.
Suppose that you're reading an entry on someone else's Web site and it sparks some ideas for an entry of your own. You notice that this other site is set up to accept TrackBack pings for its entries, so you'd like to send one when you post your new entry on your site.
