Hour 6. Using the Sensors
Windows Phone 7 devices have a variety of hardware sensors, which allow the phone to interact with the physical environment around it. All Windows Phone devices have at least one accelerometer and may optionally contain a compass and a gyroscope. The Windows Phone OS includes a robust set of application programming interfaces (APIs), which expose the capabilities of these sensors to your application in a very simple manner. In this hour, you explore the capabilities of each hardware sensor and learn how to interact with it using the various sensor APIs.
