In this lesson, you learn how to use the free Skype app to make phone calls (and instant message) from the Galaxy Tab to any other device running the same app.
Getting Started with Skype
One of the most popular apps around these days for device-to-device (laptop, desktop, Galaxy Tab, mobile phone, and so on) communication is Skype. It uses an Internet connection (Wi-Fi or other) to enable two parties to talk, free of charge (including country-to-country calls).
Tip: Video Calls
The Skype app also supports video chat—using a WebCam to place video calls between users. The Galaxy Tab version of Skype, however, does not currently support the video option. This might change, so be on the lookout for upgrades to the Skype ...
