Understanding Printer Types
Most Mac users use either inkjet or laser printers.
Inkjet printers produce excellent quality text and good-to-excellent quality graphics. For personal printers or those shared by only a few people, inkjets are hard to beat. Quality inkjet printers are inexpensive. Support for many Hewlett-Packard, Lexmark, Epson, and other inkjet printers is built in to Mac OS X.
