Lesson 13. Audiobooks and iTunes Match

If you enjoy listening to audiobooks, iTunes Match can throw a wrench into things, because the service generally won’t match audiobooks. Luckily, a few solutions can resolve these audiobook issues.

Audiobooks Don’t Automatically Match

By now, you’re familiar with some of the rules of iTunes Match. Generally, the service won’t match or upload audiobook files, because the tracks involved are either too big or encoded with too low a bit rate—or both. In addition, iTunes usually stores audiobooks in the Books section of the app, and tracks from that category aren’t considered Match eligible, either.
