Chapter 5. Using Outlook Express

Yesterday we discussed the intricacies of using Internet Explorer to explore the Internet. The ability to find information you need online is a start in the right direction, but it doesn’t fulfill every need. You need Outlook Express (or another) e-mail application to fulfill the need to communicate directly with others who have similar interests. Using an e-mail application frees you from making appointments to talk with other people at a time when they’re available. It’s more like writing a letter to them; they can read the letter and respond at their leisure.
