Appendix A. Installing Apache Tomcat and Axis

Hour 13, “Creating Web Services with Apache Axis,” shows you how to use Axis. If you want to try the example in the hour for yourself, you will need to follow these directions to install Tomcat and Axis.

Tomcat

Jakarta Tomcat is available at no cost from the Apache Web site at http://jakarta.apache.org/.

At the time of this writing, the most current stable release is version 4.0.6. The link for Tomcat 4.0.6 is
