In this lesson, you learn how to create a new Wikipedia article.
Is the Topic Available?
With close to 3 million articles in the Wikipedia, it would seem as if just about every topic is covered. But that’s not the case; chances are, you can find some topic of interest to you that does not have an article yet.
In this instance, you might want to contribute a new article to Wikipedia on that topic. To create an article, you must first register with and log onto the Wikipedia site. Then you can choose a topic you like and write the article.
Before you write an article, however, you need to make sure that there is no existing article on that topic. You do this by searching Wikipedia for that topic. If an article ...
