About the Wikipedia Community

The Wikipedia community is nothing more and nothing less than the users who either read or contribute articles to the Wikipedia site. Obviously, some community members participate more than others; it’s fair to say that the bulk of the active community consists of those who create and edit Wikipedia articles.

As such, the Wikipedia community is diverse, encompassing everyone from professionals and academics to hobbyists to the merely curious. Users of all types can contribute to Wikipedia; there are no rules that prohibit anyone from doing anything.
