Talking with Bixby

Bixby is Samsung’s intelligent agent (IA). The purpose of an intelligent agent is to anticipate your questions and get information faster than tapping or typing. It typically involves simply speaking to your phone and having it do what you’re asking without having to tap or type.
This IA thing can be confusing, so let me break it down for you. There are three main capabilities where Bixby comes in handy:
- The Bixby home page summarizes the latest news from all your most important apps.
- Bixby Vision can tell you what you’re looking at. This includes telling what the price is, what the barcode means, how many calories are in the food, whether the fancy wine label really contain good wine, or how wonderful you would look with Sephora eyeshadow.
- Bixby Voice app can recognize your voice, take care of many phone commands, and respond back to you.
