1. Define the ABAP dictionary.
The central source of information for the data in a database management system is the ABAP Data Dictionary. The ABAP dictionary describes the logical structure of the objects used in application development. It provides the central description of all data used in the system and manages all of the data definitions of the system. It is an integrated dictionary, as it is completely embedded in the ABAP workbench. ABAP dictionary definitions are easily accessed by the other components of the ABAP workbench.
