Using Themes and Colors in Dashboard Design
With every visualization, selections of the appropriate colors and styles are key ingredients. Colors and styles should be used to convey the same message, along with guiding the users to use the visualization. The number of colors used will greatly depend on the data and the number of series (dimensions) that will be visible at one given time. Titles, URL links, help buttons, and other common components should be consistent not only across the visualization, but also across the organization.
