Embedded Spreadsheets
The embedded spreadsheet within Dashboard Design is an Excel spreadsheet—actually, an Excel workbook with multiple Excel spreadsheets—that contains the data that you want to link to the components in your dashboard. You can work with data in the embedded spreadsheet within Dashboard Design in much the same way as you work with data in Excel outside Dashboard Design.
The embedded spreadsheet should be displayed beneath the canvas for your dashboard. If it is not displayed, select the Quick Views drop-down from the toolbar and select Show My Workspace.
