Stress Test Execution During “Test Week”

With the big week finally upon you, there is much to do, from preparation to final review of both the system to be tested and the supporting test infrastructure, to last-minute assessment of scripts, data, and more. By the time this is done, you probably have time to run a test or two before lunch. I suggest performing a reboot of all servers involved in the test—everything, including the system to be tested and the systems driving the test—prior to officially starting a “run.” In this way, all caches are flushed, everything comes up “clean,” and a very repeatable test foundation is established.
