The fact that SAS can meet just about any of your reporting and analysis needs is of little use if you can’t quickly and efficiently access your data wherever it exists. SAS has the broadest set of data access options available from any business intelligence or analytic product. Whether your data is in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, relational databases, or legacy locations such as mainframe text files, you can access and use it as a source for your data reports and analyses.
SAS offers two approaches to accessing data:
Opening a local data file or connecting to a data source from your local PC and moving it to your SAS server
Accessing the data source directly from your SAS server
